Claudia S. Fortunato, Neighbor

In 2009 Claudia Fortunato completed her Masters Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in American Studies from Manhattanville College, where she had already recieved her Bachelors Degree in History in 2003.  She is the founder  of Clio Circle, a group for 23-35 year olds who meet for cocktails on the first Friday of the month at a different cultural site in Huntington.  In October of 2009, she participated in Over The Edge for Charity and personally raised over $2200 for Long Islanders with autism, mental retardation, and other special needs, by rappelling down a six story building.  In the spring of 2010 she was named one of "Long Island's Young Professionals" by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.  Currently she is the Assistant to the Town of Huntington Historian, and the Director of Operations for the Huntington Historical Society.
