Doug Wald, Neighbor

Douglas Wald is currently the Senior Director of Online Marketing for CA, Inc. (formerly Computer Associates International, Inc.), responsible for global content management, web production and business development of the corporate website for one of the world’s largest independent software companies.

A 19-year veteran of the IT industry, Doug provides guidance to executive management, senior management and colleagues in product marketing, corporate marketing, international marketing, field marketing, investor relations, partner marketing, services marketing, technical support programs, sales programs and thought leadership initiatives in the areas of web content deployment best practices, content sourcing, demand-generation, integrated marketing, engagement, SEO/SEM and web analytics, supporting the company’s go-to-market strategy across 7 business units.

From 1999 to 2009, Doug was also responsible for managing web production and business development for the company’s global intranet, deploying communication initiatives for over 100 departments and programs.

In 1996 to 1999, Doug was a Manager of Event Marketing, managing online marketing content and business operations for one of world’s largest independent IT user education conferences, CA World.  He has also held managerial positions in Client Care and Pre-Sales in 1996 supporting the company’s flagship product, CA-Unicenter.

From 1992 to 1996, Doug was the Special Assistant to the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Computer Associates.

Prior to joining CA, Doug has held managerial positions at the Internal Revenue Service from 1989-1992 and was a production assistant in the music industry for international recording artist Paul Simon in 1990.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

In his spare time, Doug is the executive producer of a Riverhead-based local charity singing event called "Sing East End" benefiting East End Hospice, sings in various karaoke circles and actively speaks to various student groups at the college and high school level on career guidance.  He is an avid music and sports lover, attending concerts and sporting events around the country and contributes to several online publications on cultural topics.
