Claim to fame: Energy, Warmth, and a Passion for Authentic Judaism. Stemming from a background in Miami, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, Israel, and The Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, New Jersey.

 <br>A glimpse into the life of our associate Rabbi.<br> <br>Born to Dr. Robert (Beijing, China) and Molly ( Teaneck, New Jersey) Lehr in 1981, the 4th of 7 siblings.  <br> <br>Avraham&#39;s father was a staunch scientific atheist who became an observant Jew.  He impressed upon his son the power and responsability of understanding the fundamental truth of Judaism and the joy that comes from this awareness.<br> <br>As a kid, Avraham loved to distribute weekly Shabbat candles, Menorahs, and Matzos to Jews in Miami, and later in Manhattan, stimulationg their connection to the greatness of their heritage.  He would even use his own monthly allowance to provide them with materials for their Jewish needs, be it a Mezuzah, Tefillin, Shabbat candles etc.<br> 

While Avraham attended the Rabbinical College of America he also managed classes for college students at Princeton and Columbia, on the Jewish view of marriage, evolution, free choice, and Talmudic Law.<br> <br>Avraham directed YAM (Youth Action Movement), counselling teenagers and their parents in conflict resolution. Many have stayed close to their counsellor, to this  day!

 <br>Avraham met Deena when he was 24, and they are now parents of 3 boys: Menachem Mendel, Yosef Yitzhak, and Yehuda Leib.

His 5th Wedding Anniversary will be on the 7th night of Chanukah.

Activities that he enjoys: Family Time (which often includes everyone in the community!) Studying, Teaching, swimming,  playing football, basketball, racket ball, and acrobatics.
